Social media is addicting, how is it not? Being able to share your thoughts and feelings to the world with barely any repercussions, to spread both love and hate, sometimes even in the time span of a few minutes. That’s what this song’s about. We wrote this song thinking about all the people utilizing statuses, messages, comments, to share opinions that may hurt another’s feelings, worsen issues, or even create new problems. It doesn’t have to be that way. Before the internet grew into what it is today, we used to have to communicate face to face, or by letters, or through the phone. So through this song, we want to encourage everyone to stop hiding behind their keyboards, and solve issues / talk things out face to face. That dopamine high you get from social media? It’s not forever, it’s barely real.

“Dopamine High” is a very special song to us. Why? This is a song that we wrote and recorded the demo, in just 30 minutes. What started out as just a regular hangout at Budi’s (our guitarist) house, he suddenly played a cool riff on his guitar and said “Let’s write a song”. We decided quickly what it was going to be about, Vita (our vocalist) wrote the lyrics, and we got into the song so immediately that we finished the whole thing so quickly. To our surprise it became one of our favourite songs on the album.
